Theodore (Ted) Besmann, Professor of Nuclear Engineering, University of South Carolina. Joint Faculty Appointment, ORNL
Email: [email protected] Phone: 803-777-9853Directly responsible for the development and maintenance of the Molten Salt Thermal Properties Database-Thermochemical (MSTDB-TC). That includes inclusion of content and as-required assessments of systems and resultant generation of Gibbs energy descriptions based on existing and new computational and experimental data.
Dianne Bull Ezell, Group Leader and R&D Staff, ORNL
Email: [email protected] Phone: 865-574-4368Dianne Ezell serves as the project manager and helps link activities between NEAMS and the MSR campaign.
Anthony (Tony) Birri, R&D Associate Staff Member, ORNL
Email: [email protected] Phone: 865-341-0165Tony is one of the primary individuals who reviews and adds literature thermophysical property data into MSTDB-TP. Tony also has leveraged MSTDB-TP to generate Redlich-Kister models to estimate densities of pseudo-binary and higher-order molten salt systems.
Nicholas Termini, Technical Professional, ORNL
Email: [email protected]Nick has played a major role in expansion of MSTDB-TP is the primary developer of the MSTDB-TP GUI. Nick has also supported efforts to integrate Saline functionality in pythonic codes and utilize Thermochimica to ensure consistency between MSTDB-TP and TC.
Shane Henderson, Technical Staff Member, ORNL
Email: [email protected]Shane is the developer of Saline and has worked with other team members to ensure compatibility between MSTDB-TP data files and Saline. Shane has also played an integral role in the development of the GUI by generating an executable to make it easily downloaded by casual database users. Finally, Shane has integrated the Redlich-Kister models, developed under this project, to Saline for additional estimation capabilities with the API.
Juliano Schorne-Pinto, Research Assistant Professor, University of South Carolina
Juliano works in Ted Besmann’s group and has assumed responsibility for managing the laboratory facilities and directs work in the lab. He also manages the database content to assure quality and consistency.
